“If I wanted counseling, I would seek a professional,” Blake told him as he looked at his watch for the hundredth time.
“Don’t worry, I throw in counseling service free of charge,” Max said with a smirk.
“How about I pay you extra to keep your mouth shut?” Blake suggested.
“You could try,” Max responded with a laugh.
“It doesn’t matter. I will soon grow weary of this woman and then I will send her on her way – in my own time – in my own way.”
“Are you trying to convince me of this or yourself?” Max asked.
“I don’t have to convince anyone and I don’t have to justify myself,” Blake said, agitated all over again.
“If that’s true, why are you getting so upset?”
“I’m not upset, Max,” Blake thundered, the wall practically vibrating.
